Gayle + Mike – Dunrobin Castle 7th Oct 2017 – Wedding Films Scotland / Wedding Films Edinburgh

JEWEL IN THE CROWN OF THE HIGHLANDS

Dunrobin Castle is the most northerly of Scotland’s great houses and the largest in the Northern Highlands with 189 rooms! It is also one of Britain’s oldest continuously inhabited houses dating back to the early 1300s, home to the Earls and later, the Dukes of Sutherland.

The Castle, which resembles a French château with its towering conical spires, has seen the architectural influences of Sir Charles Barry, who designed London’s Houses of Parliament, and Scotland’s own Sir Robert Lorimer. The Castle was used as a naval hospital during the First World War and as a boys’ boarding school from 1965 to 1972 and now features as one of the jewels in the crown of Scottish wedding venues.

With it’s elegant gardens and stunning rural location we love filming at Dunrobin, especially from the air with our powerful Mavic Pro drone!

Kate + David – Old Mill House – 12th August 2017 – Wedding Films Scotland / Wedding Films Edinburgh

Situated eight miles from the city of Edinburgh, and just twenty minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport, The Old Millhouse, Dalkeith is set on the banks of the River Esk, among three and a half acres of private gardens.

Originally dating from 1703, the listed stone house lay unloved and empty for a number of years, until the current owners rescued it in 2012 and began the huge task of sympathetic restoration.

Today the house is testament to their sheer dedication and hard work, and now  like Kate and David you can experience their unique blend of old and new design by tying the knot in the grounds of this historic building!
